Remediation
My remediation project allowed me to take blogging one step further and create a blog for the nonprofit organization that I interned with this summer. Though I turned this project in for a grade, I also showed it to my bosses, who I have been trying to convince to start a blog for seven months now! For this project, I remediated three written press release into blog posts that incorporated PSAs, podcasts, embedded videos and pictures, and provided links to articles about organizational events. A blog is a good tool for the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research because it is an inexpensive platform that promotes conversation with Rally volunteers, donors, sponsors and other followers who want to be kept up-to-date on Rally news and events. It would also be very helpful as a support mechanism for the families, friends and children fighting cancer to see that there is an organization rallying for them and as a means of meeting other people going through similar situations.
