Multimedia

This conversation of the Web and technologies used on the Web carried over to the multimedia project that I completed with a classmate. My partner and I created an infomercial that promoted studying abroad for UGA students. We wrote the script, interviewed students who had previously studied abroad, filmed the video and edited the footage. In planning for our project, we had to determine what message we wanted to express to our audience and what were the best means of conveying the message. We used the audio from the interviews to provide individual voices answering questions about studying abroad and retelling their personal experiences. We also included many visually appealing photographs in hopes they would make our audience want to study abroad. The decision to include more images was taken from our class’s suggestion to include pictures to make the video more interesting. This decision is yet another example of how our class’s comments acted as a discussion like what we can do on the Web. Also, my partner and I needed help converting our film files form AVI to mp4 files, so we queried our class (similar to a question one might post online) and received feedback from a classmate to use iSquint.
